The Google Lead Finder module for Intellent CRM lets you automatically search for and collect leads based on specific keywords or locations from Google. It uses Google Custom Search API to fetch the relevant data.
Step 1: Set Up Google Developer Console #
Before using the Google Lead Finder Module, you need to configure your Google Developer Console to get an API Key for Google Custom Search.
- Go to Google Developer Console:
- Navigate to Google Developer Console.
- Sign in with your Google account.
- Create a New Project:
- Click on Select a Project from the top right corner.
- Click on New Project.
- Give it a name (e.g., “Lead Finder Integration”).
- Click Create.
Step 2: Enable Google Custom Search API #
- Search for the Google Custom Search API:
- In the Google Developer Console, go to API & Services > Library.
- Search for Google Custom Search API.
- Enable the API:
- Click on Google Custom Search API in the search results.
- Click Enable to activate the API for your project.
Step 3: Set Up Custom Search Engine (CSE) #
Google’s Custom Search Engine (CSE) is used to search specific sites or the entire web. To use it with the Lead Finder module, you need to create and configure your CSE.
- Go to Custom Search Engine (CSE):
- Visit the Google CSE page.
- Sign in with the same Google account you used for the Developer Console.
- Create a New Custom Search Engine:
- Click on Add to create a new CSE.
- In the form, enter the sites you want to search or select Search the entire web.
- Click Create once the setup is complete.
- Get the CSE ID:
- After creating your search engine, you’ll be given a CSE ID.
- You’ll need this ID to configure the Lead Finder module.
Step 4: Obtain Google API Key #
- Go to the Credentials Page:
- In the Google Developer Console, click API & Services > Credentials.
- Create API Key:
- Click Create Credentials and choose API Key.
- The system will generate an API Key for you. This key will be used to access the Google Custom Search API.
- Restrict Your API Key (Optional but recommended):
- Click on Restrict Key to set API restrictions.
- Under API restrictions, select Google Custom Search API to ensure the key is only used with this service.
Step 5: Integrate Google API Key and CSE ID into Intellent CRM #
- Access Lead Finder in Intellent CRM:
- Log into your Intellent CRM.
- Navigate to the Lead Finder module from the left sidebar.
- Go to Settings in Lead Finder:
- In the Lead Finder settings, you will need to enter your Google API Key and Custom Search Engine ID (CSE ID).
- Enter Credentials:
- Paste the API Key from Google Developer Console in the API Key field.
- Paste the CSE ID from your Custom Search Engine in the CSE ID field.
- Save the Settings:
- Click Save to store your API Key and CSE ID.
